What is the Power Productivity Program?

Why did you create the Power Productivity Program?
I noticed a lot of people don’t fully understand the organizing process. Most people think it’s only about the “physical stuff.” I wanted to teach others that “getting organized” is more than just the “physical stuff.” It goes deeper- a lot deeper. The physical stuff is a result of what’s going on internally (this concept is fully explained inside the program). Unfortunately, its extremely hard and expensive to teach these concepts one-on-one inside people’s homes.
When a professional organizer comes to your house, he/she is focused on the physical stuff not getting to the root cause of the problem or putting together an action plan so the organization is well-maintained months down the road after the professional organizer leaves. Why? In my experience, the “non-physical stuff” concepts are totally overlooked because its time consuming and expensive to teach since organizer’s charge hundreds of dollars per hour. If I taught everything inside this program one-on-one inside YOUR home, it would take well over 10 hours to teach and cost you around $2,000. While some would gladly pay $2,000 for a solution to their problem, others wouldn’t be able to afford it.
When I realized I needed to put together an affordable program that included all of the stuff that someone seeking to get organized needed to know (that was commonly overlooked), I spent the next 4 months doing a brain dump onto paper of everything I’ve learned in the past 4-5 years as a Certified Professional Organizer. This included identifying the real root causes of the issue, getting clear on what you’re looking for, learning effective time management habits, laying out the exact steps from getting started to maintenance, creating thought-provoking worksheets that will make you “think deeper”, and perfecting each process in an incredibly easy to understand manner (I’m not a big reader so I wanted MY material to be incredibly simple to read – think pictures, charts, real-life examples you can actually relate to, checklists, bullets, key points, highlighted sections, fill in the blanks, etc).
The reality is that organization affects our daily lives and isn’t going away anytime soon. It’s not going to end when your kids start school or go off to college. It’s not going to end by moving to a new home. It’s not going to go away next Monday when you “start.” And it’s surely not going to go away by ignoring the problem.
